Routes in for researchers
Researchers work with the Center in several ways: as collaborators on a joint programme, as visiting researchers using our facilities, as co-supervisors of students, or by bringing a research question that needs capabilities they do not currently have access to.
We are particularly interested in questions that fit our objectives but struggle for support elsewhere — work whose value is clinical or public health rather than commercial, and methodological work on making existing techniques cheaper and more robust.

Useful things to include when you write
- Your research area and current position
- The question or programme you would like to pursue
- What capabilities you need that you do not currently have
- What you would bring — expertise, samples, funding, instrumentation
- Any ethical approvals already in place
- Whether funding exists, or would need to be sought jointly
- Your intended timescale
- Any prior work, published or not, that bears on it
