Laboratory services for clinicians, researchers and communities

Diagnostic and analytical testing carried out to a defined standard — including subsidised access for patients who could not otherwise afford it.

The Center operates laboratory services on two footings. For clinicians and researchers, we provide diagnostic and analytical testing on a cost-recovery basis. For patients referred through partner clinics and our own community programmes, the same tests are available at subsidised rates.

Both use the same laboratory, the same methods and the same quality controls. A subsidised sample is not a lesser sample. That is a deliberate operating principle: the subsidy affects what a patient pays, never how the test is run or reported.

How we work

What you can expect

Defined methods

Tests are performed using documented methods with recorded quality controls, so results are traceable and repeatable.

Clear reporting

Reports state the method used, the reference range applied, and any limitation relevant to interpreting the result.

Confidentiality

Patient and client data are handled in line with applicable requirements and are not used for research without appropriate consent and approval.

Referral pathways

We work with partner clinics so that a result leads to appropriate follow-up rather than stopping at the laboratory.
