Books

Monographs, edited volumes and teaching texts produced by the Center.

Why books

When a book is the right format

Most research belongs in papers. Occasionally a subject needs more room than a paper allows — a full account of a method with its practical failure modes, a synthesis of a field for people entering it, or a teaching text pitched at students who cannot access expensive imported textbooks.

That last case matters here. A well-written local teaching text can be worth more to a cohort of students than a dozen papers, and it is the kind of output a non-profit centre is unusually well placed to produce.
